DiVA league crowns champs; ready for winter season
Four championship teams were crowned at the DiVA volleyball tournament that wrapped up the league's fall season on December 10 at Cleveland State University.

"We would like to see continued growth in the number of league players, particularly in the Recreational, Women's and Competitive divisions," says Leckler. “Athleticism is not necessary, just a desire to compete and above all to have fun!"
The winter season will have an equal number of Friday and Sunday nights at CSU.

Competitive champions, Whatever. The champions included the team "Whatever" from the Competitive Division, the "Misfits" from the Women's Division, "Hamburger Station" from the Recreational Division and "Four Seasons" from the Triples Division. Over 100 players participated in the fall season.
"We had a very successful fall season that culminated with the tournament," said DiVA president Ken Leckler. "The tournament was well played and very exciting. We were thrilled with the number of participants."
Registration has begun for the winter season and it is not too late to put together a team and find a sponsor, says Leckler. “Getting a sponsor will help defray the team entry fee of $190, a really good deal considering the

The Friday dates are January 26, February 2, February 9, February 23, March 1, March 8 and March 22. Friday matches will begin at 6:40 pm. Sunday dates are January 28, February 11, February 25, March 3, March 10, April 14 and April 21. Sunday matches will begin at 4:00 pm.
